Singing at the Pigeon Forge Theater- ShowPlace Theater, doing a show with friend Joseph Grecco. Singing my oreginal songs posted on wwww.reverbnation.com/songbirdcindy
I am a gospel and country (clean country) SONGWRITER. I lost my life in 2008 on a hot August night... in Knoxville Hospital, sometime after a terrible car accident. I came back from the dead... and I have a story to tell- Someday soon.
Because of this car accident that nearly sawed off my right arm, and crushed me right Cheek (rebuilt) and fractured my skull to the point of pushing my right ear canal shut, I lost my high singing range due to traching for nearly a month in a trauma care unit. Two years before this accident, I lost my husband of 28 years- Jim to cancer. And on it goes... loss after loss after loss... before the accident, I lost my mother and father. My home and business. and all the while I gained wieght... because food was my emotional release many times. I slowly learned to write again, play guitar and eat again with my right hand... because my arm was what doctors call de-gloved. I still cannot straighten it or bend it enough to touch my rt ear due to Bone Overgrowth... my elbow now extends four more inches up my right arm. But Life is Good!
This is all in the past. Life is improving. The man I was dating before my accident when I had been widowed two years, is now my adorable husband. We both need to lose weight. I am beginning to write songs again... a few. I wrote for years and have over two hundred, maybe three hundred. And I have publically sang a few times in the past year- at a woman's convention, and at church.
But I hate how I look. I saw INDIEGIRL's page today and was amazed and excited.. She is such an inspiration... losing 250 lbs... 14 yet to go- but she's gonna do it. I want to tell about what happened to me on the other side. There is a God and Jesus is real. I was there. In the meantime, if you are interested... I am Songbirdcindy on FB and I have a link where you can listen to my music free at reverbnation. My link is posted. Life throws lemmons and is full of mountains and valleys. Make Lemmonaide... and grow in the valleys... Climb every Mountain... I'm headed UP to conquer my goal- a mountain of weight, but I intend to fish, laugh, play guitar, enjoy my man, sing, love other and amaze at God and all the Love His extends to us all. Nothing is impossible with God! I am here. Not a broken Back, or a broken neck, or the fact they sewed my eyeball back into its broken socket, has proven to me that God loves me less... but only realizing our problems can become our strength.
I hope some of you will check out my Nashville recorded music. The songs may help you deal with issues that provoke you to eat.... as God gave them to me to heal me first, and now that I took them and recorded them (before the accident) others are finding them to comfort and heal. This is an amazing website... the people here are so focused and strong. I hope to find friends and support... as many of you have. I know I need you.... Blessings!
Update: Feb 16, 2013 Enjoying the journey. Amazed at how much I can exercise in the water, at the aquatic center, pain free. Walking a mile - 70 laps around the Lazy River... and doing 60 to 90 minutes of constant exercise 4 times a week or more. Losing inches already. And looking forward to the walking... I get a view of the mountains the whole time. What a blessing!
1. To lose 100 lbs
and to use swimming and walking and chair exercises to tone and lose weight. Eating healthy keeping my calorie intake toward its minimum.
2. To sing again
3. To record some of my unrecorded songs
4. To write, complete, and publish a book about what happened to me..
5 To learn how to sell my photos...
6. To continue camping in the nearby gorgeous mtns this coming summer and catch lots of Kokanee nd Brown Trout to cook oer a campfire... again!
7. To Sell my songs on CD Baby, Amazon, ITunes etc... my new compilation CD called "HOPE and FAITH". Should be on CD BABY by FEB 1st or sooner!
I am new here so this will be developing. But once I am clear of flu and UTI, I plan to swim at the beautiful community pool and walk a little outside. I have pain issues from having a broken back and neck, not to mention the weight... so I do not wish to set the bar so high I fail. I have a lot of NON-Weight Goals also... these will assist me to have other things to do besides eat. I do not have to rush... only enjoy the Journey and Love God and Others!
I live in Central Oregon, and belong to a little church with an amazing singing Pastor and His wife... Our town is very active and community minded. I drive up a road dailing that looks onto the mountains in my Photos. My husband and I venture off on long rides and have learned campgrounds near the mountain lakes and Love Tent Camping!
If you read my bio- Don't feel sorry for me. When God allows this much injury and pain- You Are In Training... and If you keep Your Faith- He will raise you up when the Time is Right. When I died, I came into the Father's Holy Presence. He spoke to me and showed me things. I wait to be ready to tell my whole story someday.

Hope you enjoy the following quote on Perseverance by Joyce Meyers...
Learning to change our thinking works the same way. There will be days when we don't do everything right--days when our thinking is negative. But never stop trying. God is gradually bringing us around to His way of thinking. Just don't give up!
