The time for Change is NOW.....one little decision at a time

I am 30 years old and have a wonderful husband and gorgeous five year old daughter. I am a nursing student at UNCG and am looking forward to graduation May 2010. I have been heavy most of my life except for a brief few years through my adolescence when I quit eating and lost a lot of weight. Now is the time for change. I am ready to claim that body I feel comfortable with. I am tired of hiding my stomach, and feeling self conscious. I am ready. For my psychological well being as well ...

My Goals:
My Long term goal is to lose 50 lbs. My short term goal is to take it day by day. .

My Program:
I am going to diet by watching the amount of calories that I consume every day, and try to keep it under 1500. I am going to exercise 15 min. every day, and three times a week for 30 min. If I set my goals light, I feel I can better achieve them, I can increase once I have accomplished these goals and feel I am ready to bump it up a notch. I want to form healthy habits, that is the most important thing!!

Personal Information:
I am originally from Dayton OH, but have been living in NC for several years now. I pride myself on my ability to achieve great things. This will be a test, I know I can do it if I make the decision. The time is now.

Way to go on your walks lately. It is awesome to burn 300 calories a day. Looks like you are doing pretty well. How are things going?

Awesome, I see you are tracking your food. Excellent, I will check back this evening to see how the exercise went.

I see you had a great day, the first of many. I'll check in tomorrow. I am impressed, not everyone looking for an excuse to start back up takes advantage of one.
