My journey on SP began after seeing a picture of me taken Memorial Day weekend 2009. The picture helped me see how I appeared to the world - not just my weight, but how I carried myself. I lost 50 lbs between 2009 and 2010. I approached my weight loss like it was a long-term project. I never got too disappointed when the weight did not come off quickly and I did not give up when I made the wrong choices. That mindset was the key to my success. My Goals:
I do best when I focus my attention to a specific date.
The first "lily pad" January 31. That's 4 weeks from now. My goal is to be exercising at least 4 days per week by that date and hitting 5000+ steps on other days. I've become very inactive so this will be a big shift. As far as weight loss, I'm hopeful for a strong loss the first month as I get my nutrition back on track.

My Program:
Nutrition: Balanced diet, calorie counting and tracking food in SP.

Exercise: Walking, DVDs for cardo C210K app to start running again and strength training.

Other Information:

emoticon Hello Sparkie - How are you? I'm traveling to CA this week then back to Nashville to clean the house and ready it to be placed on the market to sell. Still so much going on with the new job, new life in HI that I have not been Sparking or exercising. Trying not to beat myself up about it. Told myself I'll take the dogs on a long walk on Wednesday when I get to TN. Looks like you've been doing well for 8+ weeks! emoticon
