My journey on Spark began after seeing a picture of me taken by a friend Memorial Day weekend 2009. Unaware the picture was being taken, there was no opportunity to pose; no opportunity to make things appear just a little better. The picture, although disturbing at first, provided me with a wonderful gift. I did not recognize the person in the picture. The picture helped me see how I appeared to the world - not just my weight, but how I carried myself. I lost 50 lbs between 2009 and 2010. ...

I thought I had it all figured out. Unfortunately, I followed the statistics. I gained most of it back. I'm starting 2013 looking much like my before picture. I know SP works and I know I can do this.

My Goals:

#1: I want to "live" life more fully. I have let my weight make choices for me. I think the only thing worse than people who just "exist" are those who realize they are just existing

#2: Make exercise part of my life again

#3: Get my weight down. 20lbs by March 30 & 40 lbs by June 30

My Program:
Nutrition: Balanced diet, calorie counting and tracking food in SP.

Exercise: DVDs for cardo and weight training. Using a mix of The Firm, Jillian Michaels, Jackie Warner and others. Use C210K app to start running again.

Personal Information:
Married with two adorable, but not so well behaved (afraid of everything) dogs. We live in SE Michigan, but spend a lot time on the west side of the state at Lake Michigan. I work too much and am always trying to find balance.

emoticon = Me later this afternoon. Hubby and I are going to take the dogs out for a long walk. It's chilly today in Nashville, but the sun is out and it is beautiful. I'm trying to enjoy as much outside Nashville time as I can. Time is flying by...What are you working on today?

Hi Sue! Thanks for the goodie! Sorry I didn't respond on Saturday, I missed my opportunity to cheer you on to exercise victory! Shucks! Did you do it? After I read your note, I made myself go for a long walk/run with my doggie Pono. She's a good pacer! The other two (boys) are nuts when we start to jog -- the run all over the place instead of next to me so the potential to trip & fall is much higher. I am actually contemplating signing up for another C25K program. Hubby has expressed interest in doing it with me. The next program starts on Oct 2, train for 10 weeks, then run the Jingle Bell 5K in December. Contemplating....

What's on your personal agenda for the week? I hope you aren't having the week I am -- as in being totally beat down with projects coming out of the sky!

Happy September Sue! The year is flying by! I started exercising again last week. Took me forever to walk up the hill in my neighborhood, but I did it panting and sweating with my dog Pono. I have decided to walk & do pilates this month. Next month I may add weights. How's life?
