So GA Clogger

As my title suggests, I am a clogger (old mtn. dance) for those who may not know. It is what I love more than any other activity. I have a job which doesn't allow me much exercise. We go to nursing homes, fairs and festivals to do shows. It's a great workout! I need to lose some weight, badly. I don't want to buy larger clothes, so weight loss is my only option. I try so hard but it seems to creep back up, especially during the winter. I must deal daily with my mother who has dementia and it ...

My Goals:
Would really like to get back down to 120 to 125, mid way my BMI.

My Program:
I do a lot of dancing and am currently remodeling a rental property for my mother. slinging a sledge hammer is real exercise. I limit my comfort foods like grits and toast to once a week on Sat. I drink more water even though I like my diet drink better. I also walk to the Old Cemetery down the road from my house which gives me about a mile & 2/10ths.

Personal Information:
I live in a small rural community in south Georgia. My county has over 500 miles of dirt roads. The nearest store is 5 miles.

Other Information:
Reading is a must for me. I don't watch much TV except TWC, NCIS and Swamp People. I live near the Okefenokee Swamp and have had some up close and personal experiences with 'gators. I really respect Ole Troy and the guys for what they do!!!!

“The one thing all famous authors, world class athletes, business tycoons, singers, actors, and celebrated achievers in any field have in common is that they all began their journeys when they were none of these things.” Yet still, they began their journeys, Mike Dooley

“In the beginning, the price of giving great love is risking that it won't be returned. Until you understand, of course, that great love is always returned. With interest.” - Mike Dooley

“I do believe that the single most important thing I could ever share with you with regard to maximizing the health, harmony, and happiness in your life can be summed up in just two words: 'Love Yourself'” - Mike Dooley

Some New Year Quotes for you:

‘An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in.
A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves’ – Bill Vaughn

‘Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on,
with all the wisdom that experience can instil in u.’ – Hal Borland

‘Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right’ – Oprah Winfrey

‘The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.’ – Michael Altshuler

‘We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.’ – Edith Lovejoy Pierce.

‘This is the new year the new you. You can pass through another year, coasting on cruise control.
Or you can step out of your comfort zone, trying things you have never done before, & make 2013
as the year that you elevate from where you are & soar high. Make it happen.’ – Pablo

Thank you to all of you who have stuck with the program and lost the weight. You are a tremendous help to me. When the kids at school bring me treats, I can't hurt their feelings, but I have learned to share more of them. I'm from the south and I'll say ya'll a lot, so just get used to it. An alligator is just a gator down here. Sometimes they are backyard pets (I mean pests)lol Thanks again for the support you didn't even realize you were giving! emoticon
