17 April 2015 Post - OP visit with Bariatric team

weigh in at Holy Cross KP, MD was 201.5.

Reviewed progress. expect 10-20 lb weight loss. I didn't quite make it, but I told them that I would be happy with a 1-2 pound a week loss. I have a scab over the drain hole, but also have a thick hard scab over a wound on my left side. They will check on that at my next appointment.

Have not been taking any of my meds but have been avoiding my mother. My blood pressure is slightly high, but lower than it was using my regular 4 medications. Have been walking once a day for a half hour.

Added eggs, a teaspoon of good fat with each solid meal, tofu, soft cheeses. Soft cheeses include shredded cheese. Still have to total 70 grams of protein a day. aim to keep the calories below 600.

My Goals:
START: 11 March 2015. weight 235.9


FIRST GOAL IS TO GET UNDER 225 by 25 March 2015

SECOND GOAL IS TO stay on high protein liquid diet until 22 April 2015

THIRD GOAL IS TO GET UNDER 200



final goal is to be under 120.

My Program:
1) strictly observe liquid protein diet for a total of 5 weeks
2) daily 30 minute walk from 1 March 2015 to 25 March
3) increase time of walking to 4 times a day following surgeons recommendations from 26 March 2015 until reaching goal weight
4) using my gym membership when given the ok by the surgeon
5) Watching what I eat and recording it as best I can following sleeve protocol diet.


Other Information:
Love to cook and modify favorites to make them less calorie dense without giving up what makes the food great to start with. In other words, fake ice cream isn't worth it to me, but I can make a low fat smoothie that won't miss the extra fat and sugar.
