I'm a spinner, knitter & an audio book lover who only exercises with company! And all my bad habits caught up to me at menopause. So, I'm here trying to do something about it. I've heard its much easier to handle the pain of change when you do it with good company!!
I'm aiming at losing a pound a week for as long as it takes!! Oh to see 200 again in this lifetime. I bought a GoWearFit device - similar to the Body Bugg = so I can track my calories burned, steps taken & moderate exercise performed. My basic goal is to walk 3500 steps a day without thinking about it.
I am following a basic HIGH FIBRE, LOW FAT, LOW SALT, LOW SUGAR diet rich in fruits, veggies, beans, whole grains, low fat dairy & lean meats. I try to cook as much as possible at home but do allow myself Sushi, rotisserie chicken & a grilled chicken with Swiss on rye with no butter, no mayo at my favorite coffee shop.
I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada where the trees grow tall, the mountains are high & the water is blue, blue, blue!!
I'm 59, living single with two spinning wheels, bins of wool, plants & audio books. My living space is full of yarn, more yarn & lots of books. And I do small business bookkeeping & tax to support my habits.
