Snickerdoodle Journey
I am in such a precarious place. Having just finished a 16 week Optifast program and I only was able to really "fast" perfectly for about 8 weeks and then I started doing it "my" way. Eventually I stopped doing it all together.
I just made a huge move geographically back to the town I grew up in. I have never lived here as an adult. So far so good, but I don't have any connections.
I'm in line to get the "surgery" and I a fully aware that it is just a tool but ...

I've lost 200 pounds already TWICE!! I've gained it back twice and I'm just so burned out. The magic is gone.
Looking to connect with folks and perhaps get inspired again.

My Goals:
To get on track with something that will benefit my health. I am at a crossroads and am puzzled as to how to proceed.
My Program:
No program yet. Trying to do a lot of stuff right now and focusing on my AA recovery but the weight recovery has got to be just as important. I am cooking my own meals. I am very inspired by Marianne Williamson's book. I'm no stranger to OA FA and all the 12 step programs. However, the food 12 step programs are not sparking for me right now. :(
Personal Information:
I just moved to Sacramento after having lived in the Bay Area for the past 25 years. I'm adjusting okay but it is a change.
I have a pug who runs my life and I love him and my kitty.
Was laid off in March 2010 and still haven't found a job. Looking....
Other Information:
I have a dog named George who runs my life and this economy is scaring the bejeezus out of me and I am really feeling the pinch of the economy.
