My Goals:
Ah, I remember the days when I wore size 80 long Levi 501's. I'd very much like to wear some again. I've even saved the belt....
UPDATE: The belt Fits!!

My Program:
I'm taking it easy and being sensible. I've injured myself during past fitness attempts and want to avoid doing it again.
I'm monitoring my daily intake and trying to get it as close to the minimums as possible as I don't have a very active work day (computer operator).
At the moment I do 30 minutes on the treadmill 6 days a week. Soon I'll be adding a weight workout.

Personal Information:
I'm from the sunny Bay of Plenty in New Zealand.
I run my own boutique design & web company and work from home. This makes it easy to control my food during the day and having a good treadmill and weights in the next room means I can't escape a workout. :)

Other Information:
I'm going to hit 40 this year and I want to look like a 30 year old, (since I looked like i was 40 when I was 30!)

emoticon emoticon emoticon I have been with SP over 2 years and have shed over 60 pounds. In the last several months I have gained back approx. 15+ pounds. But, I'm getting back to basics and will be on my way again. I have more to shed and look forward to doing it for my health and the good physical benefits it will provide me.

You and your wife will find many resources to build your successes and unlimited support here on Sparkpeople! Enjoy the journey.

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!
