Hi there - I'm Lolly!
For as long as I can remember I’ve been “robust, healthy, husky, chunky, athletic, and big”. By the time I was 12 my Mother began made comments about how I needed to stay physically busy because I was chunking up which was easy since I loved sports! Even with my sports involvement I was a big girl – taller than my peers and heavier too! Fast forward almost 30 years and I am morbidly obese. My life-trail to where I am now is long and involved and not unique. I was married at 19, 4 babies (with one loss) by the time I was 24 and I used food as an emotional crutch to get me through boredom, emotional events, emotional compensation, and as a replacement for love. After all the greatest love is shown in nurturing those around you, and when love is missing in return – it’s no wonder I fed myself.
My world changed forever four years ago when my Dad passed away. I could feel the tidal wave of change beginning and with it came the decision to return to school to get a degree, my divorce (after 20 years of marriage), the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, and a whole bevy of lessons on learning to love and accept myself. There isn’t just one moment that sparked my desire to improve myself – instead I find it is a constant process of discovery.
I’ve come to realize in the past few years that my life actions are the soundtrack of my life and it is time for a change in the soundtrack! Just like the music I listen to for inspiration and uplift, I need to change the routine of life to reflect the changes I feel on the inside. I want more in my life. I want to never again hear someone mention that I have such a pretty face as if that is all I have. Here’s to changing up the playlist to achieve a better me!

My Goals:
Over the course of the next year I'd like to lose at least 120 pounds, become a runner, compete in at least 2 5K's (one running), and just feel better in my own skin!

My Program:
I'm using Plexus Slim pink drink and accelerator to boost me as I begin this journey. I've had great luck with it! I gave up sodas entirely 11-1-2012, and began a walking regimen at the same time. I'm a slow walker and unmotivated so I'm seeking to become more disciplined. With the increase in energy and seeing some smaller results I'm inspired to check out some of the gyms in my area so by 11-30-2012 I plan to have a membership to one of them!
