Stacy's Life
I struggled with my weight for years. I tried so many of the diets out there. They all seem to work for a short time, but then I get stuck and gave up and gained the weight back... After two years of CONSTANT VIGILANCE (sound like Mad Eye, don't I?), I have managed to drop over 100 pounds. While I'm still inherently lazy, I've found a few things that I really enjoy doing. Bicycling, hooping, spinning poi, and I'm even enjoying my running! (Yay for C25K!) I think that's really the key, isn't it? Constant Vigilance - watching what I eat & keeping active. Now, that's not to say I don't let myself have treats (seriously, look up my flourless chocolate mug cake recipe); you need to have to occasionally let yourself have "bad" things, or you'll just obsess over them! I follow what I like to call "Paleo Ranchero". (I guess you could call it "Primal" as well.) Veggies, some fruit, meat, nuts, very little grain, and cheese. It's pretty much a low-carb lifestyle, but not crazy low. I try to keep my carb intake between 100-150g a day. Some days are higher some days are lower. I also have been Intermittant Fasting one to two times a week. Basically, I eat dinner then don't eat again until 1-2pm the next day. Then resume eating as normal. My highest weight, around April 2010, was 304 pounds. I was unhappy, but didn't realize it. I've gone from a size 26 to a size 10.

It wasn't timed, and I didn't run, but I think we finished in about 55 minutes. Finished 2012 5K Foam Fest in 46 minutes! Also, ran/walked the Run Amuck 2012 (2.5 mile obstacle course). I. Can. Do.
