Hi everyone. I am finally sick and tired of being sick and tired, and ready to finally make a lifestyle change. Not sure exactly how yet but I am focusing on my habits for now rather than what I am eating.

Hi Snapdragon, I read your questions on my blog, thanks for commenting and asking them. I think the best thing you can do is read the book Wheat Belly to find the answers, because I'm only a beginner with this theme myself... My own quick reply, going by what I read in the book, is that wheat is unique in that it has a drug-like quality to it that gives us a kind of euphoria, the way opiates do. I have to wonder though because I read the same things about sugar. Davis also writes about the importance of being careful with other grains and carbs. Another book you might like to read is 'Why we get fat' by Gary Taubes. I ordered it for a very low price with Amazon.uk.
