Thank you so much for your comments on my recent blog “Congratulations – you have won 86,400…” I have been overwhelmed and honoured by the response and receiving a popular blog award. I am happy if you would like to pass it on to other friends - the message is very powerful.
In the past three weeks my mother-in-law passed away at 93, my brother-in-law had open heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm and my son’s mother-in-law has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is undergoing radical surgery tomorrow.
Together with these events, the article came to my inbox as a timely reminder to me that our time here is numbered and every minute that we are given is too precious to waste on unimportant negativity.
As Sparkie friends, we are sharing the journey to focus on being as healthy as possible and finding a successful balance in our lives – through healthy eating, exercise and happy relationships – I just wanted to share the article with everyone and I am humbled that it also resonated with so many others.
Thanks for your support and best wishes for much happiness in the future.

Many thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog. Fortune is favoring the foolish today - the consequence of ill-deserved Sparky fame is a jammed inbox. But I do appreciate each and every comment, including yours.

I hope you (as well as anyone and everyone reading this) will consider joining the 100 Days of Summer Challenge team here on Spark.

Also, while we appear to have a couple of Spark-friends in common, it does not seem as though we have crossed paths previously. There is no such thing as too big of a Caravan and if you elect to join (add me) I would be honored & add back (as time allows - ill-deserved Sparky fame brings with it the challenge of plowing through and responding to everyone who is in my jam-packed in-box).

PS - Limit sodium - it is your mortal enemy! You will lose more weight more quickly too! As for the limp - um... maybe gout?

You are so right about the importance of mammograms! My mother is a 22 year cancer survivor due to early detection during her yearly mammogram. Since then, she, my two cousins, and I schedule ours together and make it a yearly "ladies day," including lunch out afterwards!
I'm so glad things turned out well for you.
