So, here I am at the age of 31 with over 10 years of fighting the scale. I grew up with a food deficiency due to being poor and have had a screwed up relationship with food for just about my entire life. I lived on one large bowl of spaghetti every day up until I was 23. By this time my body was packing on the pounds and I decided to go on Nutrisystem. The hardest part was to eat ENOUGH food at that point. I was only on it for 2 months but I started eating 3 meals a day after that.

March 23, 2009 marked the first day I lived my life without a cigarette in my hands since I was 12. As I noticed my hands constantly going to my mouth I frantically started working out 7 days a week at home to prevent any weight gain. I went back on Nutrisystem for 3 months and managed to GAIN weight! I felt like I was in the twilight zone! I've finally managed to pay off the Nutrisystem and never plan on going that route again, and I've been keeping up with my exercise going 3-4 days a week on average for the past two years now.

January 2011 found me tipping the scales at 200 pounds, and all of my clothes were suffocatingly tight. I had successfully lost 35 pounds come March only to find out I was pregnant. Doctor's restricted my weightlifting and vigorous exercising and it went from being consistent and steady to being lazy and careless. Now it is January and I have a beautiful baby girl and every single pound I had lost back... and then some! Cheers to getting back into the swing of things in 2012. I vow to never abandon my healthy lifestyle again things just keep getting worse the older I get.

My Goals:
Lose 8lbs a month to reach my goal by July.

Drink 8 glasses of water a day.

Work out a minimum of 4 days a week.


My Program:
Monday is weight training. Tuesday & Thursday are running days. Friday is Cardio and toning.

Averaging 1400 calories a day with the help of SmartOne's meals for breakfast and lunch and a protein packed dinner.



Personal Information:
I live in Leland, North Carolina and have been hoping to find a workout buddy to keep me motivated. I have been relying on my collection of Turbo Jam dvd's to keep me going and a friend goes jogging with me twice a week. I'm always looking for new friends to help keep each other motivated to be the best versions of ourselves we can be.
