Let's do this thing, yo!

My weight loss story... I was always thin through my childhood, and up until I graduated high school. My Sr. year of high school, I got a desk job, and turned 18, and too many vending machine meals combined with too little time starting packing on the pounds. I gained approximately 70 (!!) pounds during college. I got engaged about a year after I graduated, and decided I did not want to be a "fat" bride, so I joined ediets.com, and lost 35 lbs by eating 1500 cals a day and working out 6 ...
My weight loss story... I was always thin through my childhood, and up until I graduated high school. My Sr. year of high school, I got a desk job, and turned 18, and too many vending machine meals combined with too little time starting packing on the pounds. I gained approximately 70 (!!) pounds during college. I got engaged about a year after I graduated, and decided I did not want to be a "fat" bride, so I joined ediets.com, and lost 35 lbs by eating 1500 cals a day and working out 6 days a week. I maintained that weight for 2 years, until I get another job, where the same thing happened as before - too much eating out, not enough exercise. I gained 15 lbs, and at that weight became pregnant with my first child. After his pregnancy I lost all his weight w/9 months, and became pregnant again when he was 18 months old. I gained less weight with baby #2, and lost 30 lbs in 2 weeks after he was born. I have been stuck there ever since, and have even gained about 5 lbs back! I know with sparkpeople, I can get back to where I want and need to be!

I saw that you lost five pounds, just wanted to give you a High Five. I remember a friend in high school lost five or ten pounds and it didn't seem too impressive until she took out five pounds of butter from the refrig. Seeing five lbs on the counter makes more of a visual impact. I saw a similar exercise with adding ankle weights, wrist weights and so on until it equal the amount you lost so far. When you feel the difference, you can appreciate that your body no longer had to carry this weight all the time.
