At home, we have 3 cats (Nigel, Willow and Brie), a 155 pound Bloodhound (Bishop) and one freakishly huge fish (Crusher). We just adore our pet family!

I have been battling my weight since college. Prior to that, I was super skinny, and even modeled in high school for an agency. Now, I would love to lose the weight finally and for good just to feel better about myself, and also to help my health. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis shortly after getting married four years ago, and have had a rough time the past several months with flares and changing meds.

I joined Spark several years ago, but never really was commited to doing the work. Now I am.

I will do this.
I am determined.
I am stronger than what goes in my mouth.

My Goals:
I am 5'11" and currently weigh 268 pounds. I'd like to get down to 195, as I would like to be thin but still curvaeous! Rawr!

I do have RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis), which is a chronic disease of the immune system that affects all the joints in the body. While it does affect the way I exercise and how much I do (I have to be very careful), exercise is still very important, and I hope to make exercise more of a habit and something I enjoy, rather than something I just endure and have to get through.

I'm also trying to drink more water daily.

My Program:
Basically, I'm counting my calories and trying to keep things under control that way. I'm trying to make better and smarter food choices, in an effort to eat healthier.

It's important that I avoid any exercise that could do damage to my joints and it's also crucial that I stay within my limits and don't tire myself out. My primary exercise is walking, hoopdance and the elipitical. I also enjoy hiking, swimming, tennis and horseback riding.


Personal Information:
I believe in love, magick, second chances, 2nd childhoods, and that wisdom & strength come from experience and a life well-lived. I never run for cover; I try to look before I leap, but sometimes I just close my eyes and hope for the best.

I love animals, art, traveling, reading, writing, zombies, spending time outside, music, my jacuzzi tub, hiking, messing about on the compy, movies, Hello Kitty, photography, grey (not gray), pizza, chocolate, Buffy the Vampy Slayer & Sarah Michelle Gellar, True Blood & Sookie Stackhouse, the smell of spring, 80ís music, being creative, early morning quiet, the ocean, coming home, vampires, faeries, and of course, spending time at home with my husband and all our pets.

I abhor brussel sprouts, smelly children, liver, slow drivers, undisciplined dirty children, cabbage, intolerance & ignorance, noisy children, animal abusers, and most country & rap music.

I am a poet, a romantic, a warrior, and a restless heart.

My favorite authors include Charlaine Harris, Laurell K. Hamilton, Kim Harrison, and Charles deLint.

Favorite TV shows include True Blood, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Californication, Gossip Girl, Big Love, CSI, Dexter, and Family Guy.
