about Spark Barbie
I am Barbie, 44 year-old mommy to my young girls, Ava and Keira, and wife to my hubby Tad. I want to live a healthier lifestyle so that I can be alive to watch my girls have children. I am an older mommy, and it hurts me to think that my children might have to see my (or my hubby) pass away before they are adult. I want to work toward that goal! I have high cholesterol and am quite chubby, especially around the waist (hard to see in the photos - I picked the ones where I looked the nicest, ...

I am an older mommy, and it hurts me to think that my children might have to see my (or my hubby) pass away before they are adult. I want to work toward that goal! I have high cholesterol and am quite chubby, especially around the waist (hard to see in the photos - I picked the ones where I looked the nicest, as I often do!). I used to be athletic, and want to regain some of the pride that I had when i was younger and fitter. But most of all, I want to be a great example to my children, and an even more *active* mommy!

My Goals:
*lose 30 lbs (reach 152 lbs) - then reevaluate
* lower cholesterol
* gain energy (to keep up with my girls!)
* feel "fit" - I LOVE that feeling!
* end my hesitancy to have any fun outside the house, because I am too fat (a mental thing, ugh!)
* be able to refer to myself as "athletic"
* set a great example for my family!
My Program:
* 1,450 cal/day
* splurges are okay!
* falling off the wagon okay! just get back on... (just did that, again!)
* excercise program: C25k (couch to 5k) - and gym work (classes and weights)
Personal Information:
Have 2 beautiful adopted daughters, and their birth mommies in my life. My hubby, MIL, and I are SO blessed! Now I just need to make the most of it all!!!
