I joined Spark People as another new year's resolution, to do more than whine about my wieght, in January of this 2009.

I did pretty good for a couple months, and began to fade seriously in March, completely falling out of the program by May. Gave up on even checking my spark mail and such by June. At my peak I lost 15 lbs. By October I had gained 10 of it back, as of this morning I had gained it all back plus 2 pounds.

As I have fallen back into my old routine of lifting only 12 oz wieghts, and exercising by walking all the way to my car 2 or 3 days a week. My back problems have come back as well.

No suprise there at all. So my new resolution for 2010 is basically the same as my 2009 resolution.

I once was a wirey little guy, under 135 lbs who could go without sleep for a day at a time. Then I began smoking Marlboros, at an older age than most people are when they smoke their first Marlboro. Some years later I finally quit after smoking as much as 2.5 packs a day. Unfortunately by then my stamina was gone. I hoped I would get fit and healthy again after that, in fact I became a couch potato. In the past few years, now in my 40's I see where such a lifestyle might not have been the wisest choice.

Thanks for your comment on my page - I'm glad you weren't put off by my rambling!

So - what type of games are taking up so much of your time then? (if you don't mind me being nosy!)

Thanks so much for the goodie. I was afraid that I might have gone to far with my comments, but I saw so much of my old self in your blogs, that it made me scared for you.

In case you didn't see it, our class is starting a new challenge. It's called the July 4th Challenge. It starts this Sunday, April 19 and continues through July 4th. You will log in on that day (or the day before) and list your starting weight (SW) and your goal weight (GW) which is where you want to at the end of challenge. There will be daily challenges. They have already been posted (I printed them out) but the team leader will post them every day I think.

Each Sunday of the challenge you will post your SW for that week, your CW (current weight) and your loss, gain or mainted amount. It's really not hard, but it does kind of keep every thing on your mind. We just finished the Easter Challenge. My goal was to lose 6 pounds. I lost 8.

I really hope you think about it. I so badly want you to get past those 10 pounds that have been so bugging you.

Pam
