Ms. Outdoors Lover

Hello! from Rochester, NY. Knowing we are all here for weight, I'm sure the question begs as to how I came to be here? For me, I went back to school to embark on a new career path in getting that degree I always wanted. Studying kept me from being active in the great outdoors like I used to be. Eating while studying is definitely not a good combo without the exercise part. Before I knew it, the weight had piled on. NOW, it's coming OFF, OFF, OFF!! *grins

Remember Dream BIG! Know that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE. Its never too late to follow your heart. Hey I went back to school in my 40's. If I can do it and others can, so can you! God has a way of opening doors when you trust Him with your heart's desires! I did with mine.

Favorite quote: 'You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.' ~ Richard Bach

I can tell you when you succeed in accomplishing your dream whether it be going back to school, dieting or running a marathon, no matter how difficult or how hard you worked, its a G R E A T feeling! We CAN do it!!

Actually, my church has a sign language service. I don't go to that service because it is the third service on Sunday...that means I feel a bit like cattle being herded...the one service gets done...they are herded out while the secind service is herded in. I go to either the last service or Saturday night...they are nice and relaxing!

I do get to spend some time with a few deaf people once a year--a few weeks durning a passion play rehersals. But, they are very popular, so time is limited.

Thanks for your reply. There are two draw backs for me plugging into the deaf community--one I have transportation issues-big bummer, and secondly I live in a small community. I know there is a deaf dinner at a mall about an hour and a half away...whic again leads to transportation issues.
