I'd love to be able to walk into a department store and be able to buy "off the peg" clothes.
I walk my mutt Mac most days and now Spring is in the air I'm out in the garden doing bits and pieces most days.
I'm from a fishing village in Skerries, Co. Dublin, Ireland. I'm married to Fran for 24 years and we have a son Colin who is 22 and studying Japanese language and culture. He is just back from spending a year abroad in Tokyo, Japan. So now our family is complete again.... UPDATE.. Colin has been offered a job in Frankfurt for six months translating video games from Japanese to English and will be off on his travels again on 24th May. Further Update Our Colin is loving his job in Frankfurt. We were over with him this weekend ahd had a great time chilling out and chatting. Yet another Update Colin is still working away in Frankfurt. It hasn't lost its charm for him and we travel over and back once a month just for a hug and a gossip. And yet another update: Colin has been made permanent in his job in Frankfurt. In the current economic climate its a great achievement. We're very proud of him.
I love to read when I get the time. I love Jeffrey Deaver books, I loved the early Scarpetta books but think that unfortunately the author has "gone off the boil". I also love trashy easy to read novels. I love Patricia Scanlan books, Danielle Steele, and some Maeve Binchy books. I used to do oil painting and sold everything I painted, but don't seem to have the time anymore. Life is good though. I work hard for two good men - I appreciate what they do and they appreciate me.
Happy Thanksgiving FRIENDS, PILGRAMS and fellow SPARKERS, Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
It is nice to have one day out of the year set aside to be Thankful. May you all always have an abundance of things to be thankful for, And, Have a very wonderful THANKSGIVING day today.
