Losing it for good!

Hi! I am a 29 year old teacher who needs more motivation to lose weight. I have been going to the gym but need to focus more on my eating habits. I am hoping this will help.

My Goals:
I'd like to lose enough weight to look nice on the beach for Summer 2009. I'd like to reach my goal weight by my 30th birthday at the end of October 2009.

My Program:
I belong to Gold's Gym and go 3-5 times a week. I am trying to form more of a dinner meal plan so I know my meals will be healthy.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in central NJ. I went to college in Baltimore, MD and stayed there afterwards until this past summer. I just moved to Virginia Beach for my husband's job. So far, we love it.

Other Information:
I love spending time with my two dogs. I am hoping to walk them more to help with additional exercise.

How fun you will be working closely with your best friend. And as you said, you now get to spend a lot of time preparing for fifth graders so you will be busy and not have time to think about eating emoticon

Have a great weekend and do your best but know that if you go off program for a bit, I am living proof that it is easy to get right back on and see the scale move a bit. I am down 1 more lb for a total of 14 lbs in 5 weeks. I can't believe it. I really wanted to be down 20 lbs by the time I left but considering being off program for a total of 10 days over the last 35 days, I am pretty pleased with my weight loss.

So what day is the first day of school? My daughter starts her Senior Year on Sept 10th which seems really late to me.

Congrats on being down 12 lbs. Don't you feel great. I am now down 13 in just about 5 weeks with at least 8-9 days being off the program. I am just bummed at myself because I wonder where my progress would have been if I had not been careless but that is life.

Sorry to hear about your husband losing his job. Hopefully he will find something soon. You are going back to teaching next week, correct?

Have a great day.

It does feel good to be back on track :) I laughed when you posted how you ate your cookie while eating with a friend who had lunch. My boss rides with me on the road once or twice a week and everytime we are out, we stop for lunch at a sandwich place or something like that. He always orders his sandwich and I have my cookie and he always offers me half his sandwich haha. We are at an industry party last week and he was telling everyone about my "cookie" diet and how good I am. He did not know that at that time I was going home and then getting off track :( I have no problem eating my cookie for lunch while someone is eating something else. I know what you mean about a more regular schedule. That is why this is so easy for me while I am on the road visiting my accounts. I start out each morning with a large bottle of water and my cookies and like clockwork, eat them at 8, 10, 12, 2 and then am normally home for the 4:00 cookie, then dinner and then one more cookie. Of course, that is when I am being good. How much weight have you lost so far? I noticed your ticker is not moving but I remember you saying you did not know why it was not going down.

Have a great week!

Hey, guess what. I avoided the scale and Sparkpeople for quite a while because I had been bad and just could not stay on program. Well I have been back on SFL for 2 full days, Saturday and Sunday, and today I got on the scale(I really did not want to) and guess what, my weight today is exactly the same as it was the last time I was good about 12 days ago. I could not believe it and I was so happy :) I plan to stay on it through Saturday, then I will wake up Sunday morning and be heading to Puerto Vallarta for 8 days. I will do lots of walks but also won't deny myself while there. I will then get right back on track the next day.

Woohoo. So, if you find yourself slipping at all, it is okay. Just get right back on it and any little damage will be done.

Have a great day!
