I want to Learn run and love more and more everyday!!!

Well I have been a part of SparkPeople for almost 8 months now and I have never written a really intro. So here it goes:

I have never been a skinny girl. I have always, for as long as I was able to understand it, been over weight. That was around 12 years old when I hit 5'10 and 200+ pounds. Since then I never got under 200 pounds and topped out at a little over 6' tall and 230.

Well I have been a part of SparkPeople for almost 8 months now and I have never written a really intro. So here it goes:

I have never been a skinny girl. I have always, for as long as I was able to understand it, been over weight. That was around 12 years old when I hit 5'10 and 200+ pounds. Since then I never got under 200 pounds and topped out at a little over 6' tall and 230.

In high school, I was told that I carried my weight well and still had "baby weight" to lose. I also found it fun going to the amusement park and have them guess my weight way under what I actually was. I was okay with what I weighed because everyone else had no problem with it.

In college I fluctuated between 200 and 230+ My Freshman year I didn't gain much because of basketball but I didn't lose because of my new fond liking of beer. I spent most of college years drinking a lot of beer and eating a lot of crappy cafeteria food or late night runs to McDs or pizza delivery. I could eat a whole large pizza almost on my own. I could eat two big macs a large fry and a large milkshake at midnight after having a full day of food. I still do not know how I wasn't 400lbs at the end of college but I think we pretended to exercise every once in awhile.

After College my dad got very sick. I spent a year and a half taking care of him before he passed. Then about a year trying to take care of my mom but then realized I just couldn't. It was time to take care of me!

In March of 2009 I met an awesome man. That fall I moved out of my mothers house. That is when things finally started to sink in. I realized by just taking a lot of negative things out of my life I was going to be making my life more positive.

I weighed in around 220 at the beginning of 2010. Joined SparkPeople in April at 205 and haven't looked back since. I am currently 185 and have never in my adult life been under 200 or in a single digit size pant!

How did I do it? At my mom's house there was always snacks when I moved out I did not keep snacks that were unhealthy. If they are not in sight I will not eat them. I do a little bit of everything for exercise. I love running, my boyfriend loves biking, and I am currently training for a Triathlon. I have not reached my goal weight yet but will get there. My ultimate goal is to be an athlete and believe that there is nothing holding me back.

I recently took a step that I think will help me become even more fit. Both financially and physically. I now a Team Beachbody coach.

2011 will be the best year yet!! Keep Smiling and Never Stop Dreaming!!!

My Goals:
Be healthier, fitter, faster, and happier.
Aiming to be 155 by the end of January 2011.
This means losing 2 lbs a week until then.


My Program:
I will be doing a little bit of everything. I love running outdoors in the summer. My wonderful boyfriend is getting me into biking. I recently started master swim classes. For my strength training I have been working out of the Women's health big Book of exercises. I get bored very very easy so I need a constant change all of the time.

Personal Information:
I live in east Cleveland, Ohio. Grew up here. Went to school in Marietta, Ohio and have some downer days here but overall love cleveland.

Hi back from a fellow Clevelander!! So are you up and running? I see we have a mutual friend in Dimitra (Anepanalipti). I keep starting this running thing and stopping. My goal is to attempt running outside (my thinking is I get bored on a treadmill)....but since the Great Flood is occurring I have yet to lace up. I see we are pretty similar in weight!! Except you are about 5" taller than me!! LOL!!
