I'm 27 years old and in college I was very fit and was even a model for several years. I went from gracing the pages of magazines to packing on almost 50 lbs after getting my first job in the business world. After gaining all that weight, I lost all that self confidence I used to have. So now I'm trying to lose that weight and feel like myself again. So far, I've lost over 20 lbs and my goal is to lose about 15 - 20 more.

My Goals:
My short term goal is to get my weight below 130 lbs.

My long term goal is to get my weight to 120 lbs.

The reason for my goals is to boost my self confidence, to be healthy and to meet fitness goals like running my first half marathon. Also, I used to be a model but I gained too much weight a few years ago to do it anymore. I would love to be at a weight that is ideal enough for me to model again.

My Program:
I eat a maximum of 1500 calories a day and I eat only healthy foods like whole grains, lean meat and fruits and vegetables. On the weekends I sometimes eat a "cheat meal" or a dessert.

As far as fitness, I work out or run 5 days a week for an hour and half minimum.

I am a horse back rider and I also love riding my motorcycles. I love having the occasional glass of wine as well.

I just saw your post on Calorie restriction. Cool - I follow the Alternate Day Diet - which gives all those benefits and more - but you only super restrict every other day (I do MWF)

Check it out if you are still interested. The book is great.

Thank you for that page you showed me. It's telling me I should stick to 1966 calories per day but I don't even know if I can accomplish that. I've been averaging around 1600!
