I am the Adventure of my Life. Aloha to all who visit. This will be a story of my journey to becoming who I've always been; shedding the weight of the past, strengthening the muscles of compassion and joy, sharing the hope and happiness of life, and creating the space for miracles!

Fitness Minutes: 28,996

My Goals:
Long Range Goal - to be a healthy weight with normal BP, low sugar. To be flexible in body and spirit, increased strength in muscles and conviction; fully functioning body by exercising muscles, compassion, love and joy. Short range goal: Weight 157 lbs by Dec 15, 2013. I want to fit my skinny jeans and not jiggle so much. I want to do Zumba and be able to do all the moves. I want to be able to bend down and pick up my grandkids with no pain. I want to wake up every morning with a joyful purpose. I strive for experiencing more energy and being awake!

My Program:
1 - Create a rhythm that I can live with with cardio, strengthening and stretching: Yoga 1x per week; walking most days at least 30 minutes; Zumba gold 3x wk. 2. Keep moving during the day 10,000 steps. 3. Leave something on my plate every time I eat. 4. Start again to blog/journal my way through fitness. 5. Have Fun!!

Personal Information:
Been living in the OC for the many years, but I call Hawaii my home as I was born and raised a "local." I have four sons, 7 grandchildren and two loving dogs and a wonderful husband who supports me in my endeavors. I am embarking on a third career, this time, succeeding in retirement by supporting myself as well as others. I am open to finding something that emotionally supports me, while I give something back and am at peace when I go to bed at night.

Other Information:
I have returned! It's been one year since I last was here. Fitness is a lifetime goal and present and constant awareness is essential.

    I am sooo impressed with you. You've really been dedicated and it shows. Looks like a new person in your photo. Congratulations.

    I've made some changes, too. I have joined a strength training group. I walk around the lake most mornings. I'm doing liangong which a healing form of tai chi - I love it. There is a steep stairway down the road that I attack once in a while.

    I lost a lot of weight, Yea. I put it back on and added a little, Boo. I love the exercise, but just haven't got the eating figured out. I am drinking more water. Trader Joe's has and 8 pak of 8 oz. water bottles. That's what I keep hearing I should do. So I drink one (two before breakfast) and throw the empties into the refrigerator. The next day I count how many empties I have and I can pat myself on the back. ::-)

    Hy Donna! WB girl! I've missed your smiley face :) So glad to hear you're back on track. I'm still here daily to log in; just not all over the website like I used to be. But I get motivated reading about people and I try to be supportive. Some friends are still around to chat with too :)

    Thankx, I had a good birthday. Your husband's is on Christmas??? Yikes! I hope he gets birthday gifts wrapped in birthday wrap. (my pet peeve! Don't like birthday gifts wrapped in Christmas wrap. lol) Unless he doesn't mind of course.

    We don't do the Valentine's gift/card/flower thing anymore. We just go out to dinner - old fogies that we are haha How was yours?
