My Goals:
Long Range Goal - to be a healthy weight with normal BP, low sugar. To be flexible in body and spirit, increased strength in muscles and conviction; fully functioning body by exercising muscles, compassion, love and joy. Short range goal: Weight 157 lbs by Dec 15, 2013. I want to fit my skinny jeans and not jiggle so much. I want to do Zumba and be able to do all the moves. I want to be able to bend down and pick up my grandkids with no pain. I want to wake up every morning with a joyful purpose. I strive for experiencing more energy and being awake!

My Program:
1 - Create a rhythm that I can live with with cardio, strengthening and stretching: Yoga 1x per week; walking most days at least 30 minutes; Zumba, beginning @ 1x a wk moving to 3 xs wk. 2. Keep moving during the day. 3. Leave something on my plate every time I eat. 4. Continue to blog/journal my way through fitness. 5. Have Fun!!

Personal Information:
Been living in the OC for the many years, but I call Hawaii my home as I was born and raised a "local." I have four sons, 7 grandchildren and two loving dogs and a wonderful husband who supports me in my endeavors. I am embarking on a third career, this time, succeeding in retirement by supporting myself as well as others. I am open to finding something that emotionally supports me, while I give something back and am at peace when I go to bed at night.

Other Information:
I live in sunny California but miss Hawaii very much. I am seeking a way to be productive in my life but not sure yet what it is.

Hi Smart Donna. It haven't written on anyone's page for at least a year, then I remembered you and wanted to check in and see how things are going.

I've not been taking my health seriously for quite a while now, but now I'm on a new path. My body is out of whack because I don't use it much. Now I'm working with a master Rolfer (sp?) who, well I can't explain it well, but she works on the fascia and muscles to bring everything back into alignment. So that's one approach. It makes me feel like I'm taking good care of myself and it helps with balance and just all over better use of my body.

And I recently began a TRX program that I love! These two trainers know each other's work so it helps boost both programs. I have a lot more motivation and am getting more exercise.

Now, if they'd just outlaw chocolate. I do need to work on diet. I guess I've been to busy to sit and write a plan, but it's on the top of my "to do" list.

Have you found any Hawaiian clubs around there? That's what keeps me sane. We're working on a hula and a couple of songs for a friend's retirement party right now. Fun.

Wherever you are at in your life, it must be the right place because you have a killer smile.

It looks like we have a very similar goal of how many lbs to lose, so let's work at it each day, little by little it'll whittle away!
