I've had a weight problem for as long as i can remember. I've been on mulitple diets, only to lose a few pounds and then just get tired or bored, and then gain back the weight plus more. I always tried to get motivated to lose weight by major events in my life, like getting engaged, getting married, preparing for a child, etc....and sadly, I was really never that motivated. However, I did only gain 15lbs during pregnancy that I quickly dropped and never gained back.. Yay me!! However, sad to say, the thing that is motivating me now is a medical condition. Since the birth of my daughter, I've been dealing with headaches, distorted & obstructed vision and some tinnitis. Since the beginning of this 2010, I've been to opthomologist, neurologists, had MRI, & Spinal Tap...long story short, I have increased pressure behind my eyes that can be reversed with weight loss...fancy term is idiopathic intracranial hypertension and if ignored, could result in blindness. I never knew that being fat would affect my vision! So, I want to change my ugly, horrible habits and improve my lifestyle so I can be healthy and happy and be able to see my adorable daughter grow. I am ready for a change and I know that I have to do this, not only for me, but for my new family as well.
Ok, so life always gets in the way, right? I can't let it happen anymore. 40 is fastly approaching and I have got to be pro-active for myself AND my family.
Some goals include shopping in the misses section of department stores and running a 5K.
For now, my main focus is staying within my caloric range and trying, trying, trying to get at least 30 min of moving around 3 times a week. My fitness goal is to exercise 5-6 times a week. I want to be one of those that are addicted to exercising.
I currently live in Mid TN with hubs and daughter. I would love to live out West and I love to visit Charleston, SC.
