I'm a 51 year old mother of 3 grown children and 4 grand children. I'm married to my wonderful husband, Roy of 21 years. I started with sparkpeople when I was 45 years old weighing 209 pounds. I'm a 51 year old mother of 3 grown children and 4 grand children. I'm married to my wonderful husband, Roy of 21 years. I started with sparkpeople when I was 45 years old weighing 209 pounds. My goal then was to get down to 160 pounds and hopefully wear a size 12. Well, I have not reached my goal weight yet but I've gone beyond a size 12 and now I'm wearing a size 8. I'm so pleased of the size that I'm at now. When I originally wrote my introduction text, I thought that being at 160 pounds would have me in a size 12. But I've found out that when you'll doing weight training the weight will be more because muscles weigh more than fat. It's hard to believe, but it's true. This is the first time in my life wearing a misses size 8-10. I'm so excited. I know this will be something I'll do for the rest of my life. My focus now is to not concentrate on weight loss but to focus on body fat loss. Thanks SPARKPEOPLE.

My Goals:
My goal is to get my body fat down to under 20%. I'm also trying to reach as many people as possible to change their lifestyle of eating and to begin an exercise program.
My Program:
I''ve created a workout room in my home, were I have an elliptical, treadmill, resistance flex machine, dumbbells, and an exercise ball. I workout every day, sometimes twice a day for approximately 30-120 minutes each day. Doing weight training , cardio, and yoga. I eat at least 5 times a day, plenty of fruits, vegetables, protein, and plenty of water while staying within my required calorie count.
