If you don't set a goal, how will you ever know when you reach your goal?

So, my list of the strategies I will be using to reach 175...by .Nov. 2013
1. Eat a lot more veggies & fruit.
2. Limit unhealthy food and keep tracking on SP.
3. Exercise.....
4. Sleep better, with a little leg & waist exercises before sleeping, because insomnia and weight loss don't work together.
5 Go to bed earlier to avoid food temptations at nite and because my body ...

Well I've been around for 3 years now. The initial 20 lbs. are off again. Way back in the beginning: The harder I tried the more challenges I faced- I have persevered despite no losses showing on the scale and learned to see other measures of my success. Being diabetic, my blood sugar is a major indicator of successful results. When I started on SP, my bs were in the 13-15 range for early a.m, now I have my AIC go down to 6.9, and I'm still here and getting motivated again. So, there are successes other than on the scale.

My Goals:
To get my sugars under control with diet and exercise so I don't have to take any more meds or go on the needle for as long as I can avoid it.

Dec. 09 - a.m. bs was 13
Feb. 10 - a.m. bs was 7.8
May 10 - a.m. bs. was 6.1
July 2013 AIC - 6.9

My Program:
Do Walk around the reservoir 4 laps with some jogging at least 5 times a week.

Track calories and stay with SP range...

Other Information:
I love to read, knit, crochet, and read.
I'm a gramma of 4, ages 18, 16, 9 and 7 y.o.'s... and new g.d. born in April, 2011 - none of which I have seen in over a year.
I love a variety of food and am always looking for new recipes and have already found lots here that I really like.

LOL, OMG, don't torture yourself, darlin', reading any of my old blogs. The blog today was written mostly to delay myself from addressing the tons of chores that are calling my name. Dang chores! They seem never ending, yet the end is miraculously drawing near - I HOPE. emoticon

My pain ... well, that is from much overused joints in recent months and subsequent flair ups of arthritis - OUCH! Fortunately, I am now taking some holistic type remedies, for this very thing, that are showing positive results only after a few days. Now if only I would remember to take them daily, as prescribed, I'm sure I would improve even more in the days to come.

Now, tell me ---- how's come I never forget to throw junk food into my mouth, but can't remember to throw in the things that would make me pain-free?
