I am a 61 year old Grandmother of three who lost 30 pounds.
I am now in the maintenance stages of my journey to healthy living. I can be challenging at times.

I started at 190 pounds on June 3, 2010. I set an ultimate goal to reach 160 pounds by December 2010. I hit that goal in early Jan 2011 !! Current goal is to maintain between 160 - 165.
Sparkpeople will help me stay on track!

My Goals:
Long term goal:
Weigh 160 to 155 pounds and keep it there!
participate in a 5k walk or jog "marathon" Reward: weekend getaway w/girls

Become Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers - Goal Date: February 17, 2011 -DONE Jan '11

Mid term goal:
WEIGH 160# by Dec 10th
Reward: $400 New Clothing budget -DONE Dec 23rd !!

Short term goal: DONE!!
Lose the last 3.6# by 9/23/10 which takes me to my 10% weight loss goal (19# off) and I get the WW charm key chain.-DONE

My Program:
Attending Weight Watchers meetings, exercising and drinking plenty of water-64 oz per day.
Eat 6 servings per day of fruits or veggies. Reduce white sugar, salt and flour in my diet by half.
Decrease the amount of processed food I buy & eat by half.

HI, I am V from Michigan,
I am 57 yrs old.
Married and have three grown children, Son 38 yrs. old, daughter 34 yrs. and my baby girl is 32 yrs. old.
I am a grandma, I have 3 - a girl 15 yrs. old and 2 boys 16 & 12 yrs. old.
I am a Christian and active in my local church, as well as Women Ministry in my community.
Have been on my job 23 yrs, I'm a buyer for a local manufacturer.
I am 5'8" tall, which is why my weight fooled everyone. My highest weight was 190#, even when pregnant I weighed less. I had children young, and kept my weight down around, 135 -145 # until my late forties, then I ended up taking Estrogen and my weight blew up! By faith, I stopped taking that stuff and had no more symptoms. After that I began my weight loss roller coaster. Doing Weight Watcher-3 times, I always lost the weight, but when I stop going to the meetings I would put it back on. I need the accountability. I am so grateful for SparkPeop
