Work in Progress and I do not have to be Perfect!

Getting better with age, Ok, so now I am 61, big deal, it is a big deal, in a good way, I have made it this far. I am considered a Junior Senior, I just love that term. It is the boomer generation not wanting to admit to getting older. This is my time of life to take care of me. I love my children but they are now all adults and are doing well. I am so proud of each of them. I can say what I want too, do what I want to do and people will just say I am a little crazy. So what is ...

I am so proud of each of them. I can say what I want too, do what I want to do and people will just say I am a little crazy. So what is wrong with being a little crazy? I think we take ourselves just a little too serious. Life is too short not to live it without all the gusto that you can. I have finally learned to love myself, all of me and just the way I am. I am not saying that there is not room for improvements, there is and always will be. but I am a work in progress and I do not have to be perfect. My Goals:

Personal Information:
I live in southwest Ontario, Canada. I have three children, two by marriage and one by birth. Three grandchildren. My grandsons live out of town only see them at Christmas. New granddaughter in town, but still do not see her as often as I would like.

Other Information:
I enjoy reading, knitting, and learning. Planning to take some courses in the fall. I am now a volunteer puppy raiser (Golden Retriever) for National Service Dogs. These dogs’ assist Autistic children.

Thank you for your comments and words of encouragement on my blog. I was feeling pretty low yesterday, but spent today with my sister and niece for her birthday. We shopped and had lunch, though I did not eat "on plan", I didn't totally blow it either. We had a great day! I'm going to re-assess what I'm doing and start fresh in the morning. Hopefully, these extra pounds that crept up this week will get flushed away and I can keep working towards my August goal! I hope you have a great week!!

Walking is going well. 2 days in a row. 1.5 miles yesterday and 2.1 miles today. So far so good.
