My Goals:
I will tone up; I want to see the muscles that used to be well-defined in my upper arms, thighs, and back.

I will get my eating habits under control and not let a diet run my life any longer.

*No more bingeing eating or drinking; less snacking; slow down meal breaks!

My Program:
Using both Weight Watchers points system and the SP "wondersite", I am keeping tabs in on my daily intake. SP really helps me with all the fun exercises & things to do online. I get excited just about logging on SP and writing it all down! Awareness is the first step.

Personal Information:
i am a friend, a girlfriend, a dancer. i love wine, bombay sapphire martinis, writing, running (or at least the feeling after a run), and manhattan (the island, not the drink).

Hi I just joined the MTL community and saw that you had joined recently as well and that we have a decent bit in common! I used to dance and teach dance in Kingston Ontario and I also run. I look forward to seeing you around the forums and maybe around the city at some point!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by and adding me. There was a great book that I read years ago called "Curing your Fat Tooth", and it talked all about how we are really craving fat. Mouthfeel is a food scientist term to describe how things coat your mouth. Fat Free stuff never does the trick, it can't fool your body - especially when it comes to fatty sweets. AND the manufactureres add extra sugar to fat free items to give them more "taste". SO you are on to something. It's better to have a little bit of real fat than tons of fat free. Plus, fat for the body is like oil in your car. You need it to grease the parts and make it run. Too little fat will stall weight loss, make your hair and skin dry and give you a dull look in your eyes! Stay in touch. And good luck with your goals.
