~*My New Life*~
Just a gal who's trying to eat right and get fit for myself, my daughter and all of my other family and friends. I am tired of being tired because I'm overweight. I am tired of feeling like everyone is staring at me when I'm in a room full of people who weight less than me. I hate having to eat in a rush in the car and feeling like everyone's staring at the fat girl thinking "you're already big enough and you got that way from eating so much!." I want to be: active, strong, proud ...
Just a gal who's trying to eat right and get fit for myself, my daughter and all of my other family and friends. I am tired of being tired because I'm overweight. I am tired of feeling like everyone is staring at me when I'm in a room full of people who weight less than me. I hate having to eat in a rush in the car and feeling like everyone's staring at the fat girl thinking "you're already big enough and you got that way from eating so much!." I want to be: active, strong, proud of my accomplishments, proud of my body, nice-looking (I don't think I could ever be "sexy"), able to say yes when someone asks my to go somewhere and do something that would otherwise be stressful and hard for me to accomplish now. I stuggle with self-image and body image, but I believe are all people are. It is ingrained into us from a very early age. We grow up believing that what our bodies look like reflects the type of person we are. That's not true always. I know losing weight will not make people accept me, but it will help me accept myself. Not only that, but I deserve to be healthy. I may be overweight, but I don't have to be and I've made the decision to change that. Encouragement is always welcome. If you need encouragement just ask. There is no question too small or stupid.
