As a fat kid, fat teen, fat adult, I dreamed of being a normal weight. Well, finally, I'm 80+ lbs below my all time high; 50 pounds below Dec. 2008 weight. In 2009 I achieved healthy BMI 25. Then with SparkPeople I was able to achieve BMI 21, a weight I "always" wanted! Check out my SparkPeople Success Story:

* Maintain 80+ pound loss with 129 pounds as the center of my goal weight range
* Focus on eating sensibly, healthy foods enjoyed with dignity.
* Keep on running for fun and fitness! Enjoy any age group awards without stressing for them.

1 Mile = 8:47 (4/13)

Clean SWEEP:

Clean = eat with dignity
S = 7-8 hrs sleep
W = 8 glasses water
E = eat healthy
E = exercise 6 times/wk
P = persistence

Personal Information:
66 years old, 5'6", maintaining around 129 pounds. Retired social worker-grant writer-nonprofit administrator. One adult daughter. I keep my two darling granddaughters 6 days a week when my DD & DSIL work. Weigh less right now than I did in junior high. Have struggled with weight all my life, but I just may have it now!!

You don't have to be perfect to succeed, but you do have to be determined. Never, never, never give up!

    Thanks for reading my blog about my Slovakia adventure. Yes, I think genetics have a lot to do with my ability to process carbs. 3 weeks of major carbs in my diet (I estimate way over 60%) and I've returned at exactly the same weight as when I left. I did run in the mornings, but I do that at home too. Plus, I sat in a classroom all day - inactivity very different from home. Whatever, the reason, I'm happy with the result - except the jet lag which is really slowing me down.
