Not Only Maintenance, But Relentless Determination

I'm 80+ lbs below my all time high and I've lost over 50 pounds since Dec. 2008. In 2009 I achieved a healthy BMI 25. Then with SparkPeople I was able to achieve BMI 21, a weight I always wanted!

There's nothing special about me -- you certainly can do it too. A good trainer does help and time -- I've been working out twice a week for 50 minutes a workout for 5 years now. So of course, it doesn't happen over night. But small steps really work in this area, I think. I don't do any of the "insanity" types of workouts. Mine are very much bread and butter workouts. Consistency and time are the key, imho. And variety, which a good trainer helps with a lot.

You won't be sorry Marsha if you find a color run! So much fun, so much energy, no timing so no medals but that is ok, it is so much fun and the party afterwards is well worth sticking around for! You will smoke those people since you are a pro at running! Thanks for stopping by, hope you find one soon! Holly

I blame you! Well between you and ONEKIDSMOM and HOLLY48 (who just posted pics of her color run), and all you runners out there who have made me look at 5K races in my area. emoticon
