Equipped to Succeed Long Term with SparkPeople!

I'm 80+ lbs below my all time high and I've lost over 50 pounds since Dec. 2008. In 2009 I achieved a healthy BMI 25. However, with SparkPeople I was able to achieve the weight I've always wanted, around BMI 21.

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE
We all want happiness and dread the thought of rain.
When the sun fails to shine, we worry and complain.

We forget that God above is infinitely wise,
and sometimes our ails are blessings in disguise.

For if we're always happy filled with sunshine and cheer,
our hearts would hold no mercy for others who shed tears.

So when trouble comes knocking, remember to stay strong.
Rainbows always follow the storm and dark clouds never stay long.

Marsha,
Alas, Gay is sitting here beside me and we have enjoyed reading your incredible SparkPeople story. We are both so proud of your success and accomplishments and Gay is now online. We would like to know who to contact so we can fit in with the local Lakeland, FL group for dinner each month. Gay said it's one way she'll get to see you more often.

I had never heard of SparkPeople before and this looks so perfect for me.

Thanks, Misty and Gay

Your story was part of my selections today on the start page. I read your story and was inspired. I'm on day 42 of my journey. Someday I'd like to share my own story. I watch my granddaughter now. emoticon I never thought a person my age would be able to run. Something to try when I get a bunch closer to goals for weight and fitness.

Hi Marsha
I just read about your very inspiring fitness journey in your Spark success article. I've been dithering about getting a Spark pedometer and your blog has convinced me to go ahead. I, too, am in my 60's and am doing well on the nutrition side of things, but really need something to motivate me to MOVE!
emoticon Thanks for giving me that extra nudge I needed. Spark on!
