Your seasons sound interesting too!! And my goodness, I enjoyed the birds when on Sanibel -- many many gorgeous photos. Plus the flowers, the butterflies (zebra longwings new to me) . . . all of that!

Thanks for your comments on my latest blog, Marsha. I actually had you in mind when I wrote it and was hoping you'd chime in--and there you were, first in line!

I remember you saying that intuitive eating put you 5-6 pounds over your ideal weight and, as I wrote in my blog, I found the same thing to be true! It might not seem like a big deal to many people, but I know how easy it is for weight to creep and to already be up a few pounds BEFORE vacations and holidays, can mean sizeable gains to have to deal with after an even more relaxed period of eating and exercise comes on.

I like having the option of eating intuitively, but I have a feeling calorie counting and tracking is going to be my reality most of the time if I want all of my goals to be in sync with each other.

Loved your comment on that plus size blog: and you are doing an absolutely wonderful job helping raise those grandgirls of yours to be strong and powerful and self-confident women. The most important job in the world, and one of the toughest.

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. Carol and my mother met in the second or third grade. She has been in my life since my mom got pregnant with me. When my mother passed away almost thirty years ago, she stepped up to the plate and became my "step" mom. She was also a wonderful grandmother to my daughter. She died on January 19th. We had 4 deaths total in the December/January time frame. Hers and my BIL were the hardest but our friend's 15 years old son is a close second. I am ready to be finished with funerals!

Thanks for the extreme goodie day! I needed that! I fell Tuesday evening and broke a bone on the top of my foot. We could hobble together! It is much better today in terms of pain, but I am totally sidelined for a while. I hope it is life as normal by a week or so from now.
