Slender Claire is getting there (again!)...

Thanks to SparkPeople, I lost 2 stone (28lbs), and dropped at least one pants size - nearer two. Looked great, and attracted much favourable comment. But then relaxed and thought I knew it all. Being tall, I can carry a lot of weight before it really shows, but I had pushed that about as far as it would go. My peak weight (in early 2009) was 13st 5lbs (187 lb). Thanks to SparkPeople, I lost 2 stone (28lbs), and dropped at least one pants size - nearer two. Looked great, and attracted much favourable comment. But then relaxed and thought I knew it all. Stopped being so careful with my wine intake (I do love my red wine!) and gradually crept up and up, till I am now back at 13st (182 lbs). Still a little way off that peak, but I need to take charge again. My old lifestyle is not sustainable. Time to relight the Spark!

I also sing in a choral society for more challenging pieces in a larger group. Currently working an a Bruckner Mass (No 2 in E minor) and a Parry motet: "At the round earth's imagined corners sing". Concert in April. Oh, and I'm trying to teach myself the trumpet... And the flute... I just love making a noise!
