I am a 65 year old grandmother that needs to lose a great deal of weight. I have tried several diets without success and am now searching for a good plan that I can make a lifestyle. I also want to start a fitness plan starting slow and building until I can do at least 30 minutes a day.

My Goals:
1. Maintain daily food and fitness log.
2. Increase daily water consumption.
3. Limit caffeine.
4. Exercise 15 minutes to start and gradually increase to 30 minutes daily.
5. Focus on adding more fruits, vegetables and whole grains to daily diet.


My Program:
*To stay on target, I plan on preparing weekly menus and entering them into my log every Sunday.
*I also will setup a fitness plan and monitor it daily.
*As I limit caffeine (doctor's orders) I plan on making sure I keep a supply of bottled water with me at all times. It is a good habit to develop.
*My main focus is to eat healthier so I am developing a habit of taking healthy snacks with me to work with a focus on fruit and vegetables and small amounts of protein.

My name is Shirley. I live in Northwest Ohio and am originally from Oklahoma. I have two grandsons that I adore that live in South Texas.
My hobbies include sewing, crochet, oil painting, books and movies.


Other Information:
I feel it is important in life to keep an open mind. I never want to get so set in my ways that I fail to value learning new things or having new experiences.
