Sleekkitty Wants to Enjoy Each Day to the Fullest
Life has plenty of ups and downs. I am working on making more ups and having a great time in the time I have left on this earth. I will claim the name Sleekkitty, because that is my goal for my physical self. I'm not quite there, but I have made progress. Several years ago I had a stroke, despite a healthy lifestyle. It was a shock and I was puzzled about the cause. There are no guarantees in life, so enjoy each day. I have recovered with minor problems which will always remind me of what happened. I gave up my healthy lifestyle after the stroke and gained weight---lots of weight. I figured that I may as well eat whatever and however much as I wanted, since life had been unfair. Then, I had to buy a dress for a very special occasion. Nothing in the misses section of the store fit. I refused to shop the large womens' section. I also saw a picture of myself a friend took, and it shocked me. It also hit me that I was increasing my chances for another stroke by adding more risk factors to my health. I lost about 65 pounds in 9 months and have kept it off for the most part. Ten pounds come and go and I try to keep it under control. I destroyed all pictures of my fat self, except for one picture because it has my daughter in the picture, too.
