SKYWATCHERRS is a SparkPeople Motivator!
I've been away from Spark for about 2 1/2 years. I log in every once in a while when I see an article on Facebook that I want to read.
Things are going fine in my journey - I'm a totally different person than when I left.
My focus has been on healing my relationship with food, and I am happy to say that I have made HUGE healthy progress on this.
I stopped going to the gym, too - didn't stop exercising, but stopped going to the gym. I don't really miss it too much, either.
Focus now is mainly on being healthy and happy, and giving up the temptation to be compulsive about my weight.
I'm never going to have a six pack or a flat tummy, and I am perfectly okay with that. I no longer have the time, energy, or willingness to worry about it, obsess about it, or make it my unofficial job to attain it.
I'm happy, I'm working out my purpose in life - of which having a healthy body is only one part.
I may not be on here every day or even every week like I used to be back in the day, but checking in to help others and constantly reaffirm my health and happiness in positive ways is something I can commit to.
to be strong, healthy, and happy.
Circuit-style bodyweight training and jogging, being active with dogs in my volunteer work, and eating a healthy diet of whole and unprocessed foods.

Hi and thank you for you comment on my blog it was very helpful. I am loving this lifestyle but like anything, I know that it will take time to reach the right balance. I was one of those people who would eat 5 - 6X's per day and got minimum results. Obsessing about food all day was really tiring, so it is refreshing to be able to follow a nutritional program that is more natural and in tune to what my body "signals" to me that it needs.
Again , thanks, and enjoy your day! ~ Dee

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement and all the info about "weight" gain on the scale. I don't let myself get too hung up by the # as I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything. I just try to figure out why the #s and I'm glad to have you give me a lot more possibilities. I read your post the other day about your weigh-in at the doctor and I love how you showed the scale didn't determine your health, it's how you feel and what your clothes say about you. That's pretty awesome!
