Restarting Spring 2013

I am taking part in the 2013 Fall 5% Challenge, the goal is to lose 5% of my current weight - so 9.5 lbs in 8 weeks.

FOOD:
My diet plan is to eat more fresh fruits and veggies, and count my calories. Everything in moderation.

EXERCISE:
My plan for the start is to walk 30 minutes/2.5km/1.55miles Monday to Friday on my lunch break (an extended "walk around the block"). I have been doing ...

-Another day, another chance to be awesome.

What can you tell yourself when you are thinking of skipping a walk or a workout?
-Just move! You won't regret it!

Is there something you can tell yourself when you are reaching for that second helping or that cookie?
-Do I really need that?

SUPPORT: I will work to support my team, commenting in as many forum posts as I can, and visiting sparkpages to help motivate my team.

Thank you for your kind comments. I do hope to encourage everyone. I have found so much encouragement through the Spark Community. We are a little belated on celebrating our anniversary. We had unexpected company plus we were practicing for the 5k we did last Saturday. So there was a crimp in a time slot for us. We are doing something this week to celebrate. It will be low key this year. We want to do something fun and relaxing. Thank you again. Good luck this week. We can do this! Go Cats! emoticon

Open air, in walking shoe, anybody's company will do. emoticon
