The older I get the more I crave balance and health. When my boys were in their tweens or early teens I realized if I didn't get healthier I would not keep up to them for long. I lost 40 pounds and worked hard to create a healthier lifestyle. Sadly some of those those 40 pounds had homing devices and return to my belly..... so now I am only 15 pounds down from where I was and not very happy about that.

I, for the most part, remain fairly active, but clearly not enough. I love to walk, yoga, cycle and hike; and the Alberta season if about to bring for the latter of the two.

I am currently trying Jillian Michaels Get ripped in 30 days, which is a tough work out for me - but I have manager day 3 which I am very proud of because I hurt ever day.

I also love live music, but with that often comes a beverage or 3, or 5. My weekdays are fairly good, but the weekends I forgot the goals and just have fun.

My Program:
Currently I am learning to live "The Plan". eliminating foods that case reactions in my body.

I am concentrating on a healthy balanced diet.

I work out 4 - 6 times per week, continually trying to lenthen the time and intensity of these workouts.

I love hiking and cycling and try to get these in when I can - weather dependent in Western Canada.

I spent my adult life using the name T; so this is not an alias to me when I sign that on the site.

Hey there T! What are you up to lately? I'm missing many of the former Phoenix. I don't think anyone stayed with the group for the 2nd quarter of BTS. Jane and I are sailing with the Pink Pirates. They are a great group, but like I said, I'm missing lots of sparkfriends! I hope life is treating you well. I imagine it's still cold in your corner of the world. I hope spring finds you soon. Hey T!! Basically cut out carbs- bread, rice, pastas, also dairy and eat low sugar fruit (berries). ZERO additional sugars- no stevia or additives. Think Paleo without fruit (except berries) without dairy and no legumes.

My body feels better but I feel low on energy and from what I hear this is the norm. I think it takes about a month or 6 weeks for your body to get used to this and for the energy to come back.

Yup that was crazy 7lbs in 1 week? The first few days were horrible. Now I am starting to feel better and I see some things that are showing me my body is grateful I'm healing it. I don't wake up with a stuffy nose anymore. I haven't had more than 1 headache after the detox headaches went away. I used to get headaches every day and wake up with a headache too. Things like that.

Hey T,

Sorry for the delay, its been a rough go. I have fibromyalgia and I definitely tried doing too much too quick. Put myself into a flair up for the past 2 weeks. Continuing as of today though.

Its unfortunate that you may not be on here, but I wish you the best and if you return send me a message. I hope all is well. I know sometimes spark can become overwhelming and breaks are needed.
