Getting back to ME!!!

It has been a long 10 years of letting myself go...and I am ready to get back to me. I have been a mom since I was 19 yrs old, (the last time I weighed 120 lbs), a wife for 3 years, and became a mom again just last summer. Before I got pregnant with my first, I could eat anything I wanted and I never worried about gaining a pound...my metabolism must have been great back then. Then I met my husband and we both let ourselves go...I am assuming because we were comfortable with each other. Then ...

I have been a mom since I was 19 yrs old, (the last time I weighed 120 lbs), a wife for 3 years, and became a mom again just last summer. Before I got pregnant with my first, I could eat anything I wanted and I never worried about gaining a pound...my metabolism must have been great back then. Then I met my husband and we both let ourselves go...I am assuming because we were comfortable with each other. Then everything got worse when I had my baby last summer. I weighed in at 257 lbs when I gave birth to my daughter in 2010. I managed to lose about 45 lbs after birth and have been struggling for the last year to get back on track. I realized that I have put all of my energy, my focus, and my support into my family and forgot how to do the same for ME! I am looking for balance, healthy choices, and results. This time around, my focus is on getting back to me, so I can be an even better mother and wife for my family!!!

Hi

I would first suggest researching articles on this topic and see what the experts say. The best place to start this search is the search bar on the top of the page looking for Spark articles. Secondly, I would suggest making this a team topic to suggest in one of your teams. I am sure your fellow Sparkers will be able to give you a lot of advice. Until then, keep taking deep breaths and take it one day at a time and don't worry about what hasn't happened yet. Just take the time to enjoy reaching your goal!!
