Hello, I have been on an off on Sparkpeople since 2012. I have been on and off trying to lose weight since pretty much forever (age 12 or so). I am 34 now, and recently married. I am working to get back on a plan that I can stick to so that I can finally be healthy.

Currently honeymoon and reception planning and saving up to buy a house. Exciting times!

Oh I love salads! I don't put any extra veggies in except sometimes mushrooms and onions but thats it. The rest is serving of cheese and dressing. I also have had PMS this week and have had two nights of binge eating. I'm really hoping to break the cycle tonight. That will give me 4 good days till weigh in. I also have been thinking I need to do away with a set cheat day a week. I think it's really hurting my progress both mentally and physically. I'm ok with a cheat meal a week but a whole day set is killing me I'm afraid. It enables my binge eating monster and I really want him to stay at bay!

How close are you to getting your PhD?

Well my weigh in was ok. I lost the weight I had gained weighin in around 249.4 but still no loss. I'm really hoping for one this week. I've realized that I am majorly obsessed with not only the scale but weight loss in general and it is so not helping me. I've been slacking in the workout department too. I just haven't had the energy. I agree with you about the raw veggies..not my favorite snack! I've been turning to salads or yogurt for my snacks because I actually enjoy them. Lets try our best and hope for a loss come this weekend! :) I'm going to just focus on making good choices and try and not be so obsessed!

I totally agree with you about tracking...I hate it...like 100% despise it but for some reason it really correlates with higher losses for me. I'm hoping that eventually I can wean myself off the tracking and just know what I'm doing and listen to my body better. I'm too much of a emotional, stress, binge eater so I think thats why the tracking helps..it's like NO you're not really hungry..see how much you ate today kinda thing.

Don't feel too terrible about the SB. I overate as well that day as did probably 99% of Americans. Don't get down on yourself. I know what you mean though because I'm in the same boat..been trying to lose weight for so long that it feels like it will never happen but don't give up! The only actual way for you to never lose is to give up...so keep on keeping on and eventually it will all click. Good Luck on weigh-in I hope you do better than your expecting :)

I gained last week too. Weighed in at 250.4 :( GRR Really hoping to hit 247 on Sunday! Have you been tracking? I know that I've been slacking in that area and the scale took a hit for it. It seems that the better I am about tracking the better I am with the losses. Going to try and track every little thing better tomorrow and hope for that nicer number come Sunday!

We are in the same place. The lowest I got was down to 242 and then over the holidays I ballooned up to 255.8. I'm making my way back down and am hoping to reach 239 by March. That will be my 50 pound mark and it's something I've been shooting for for awhile. Good job on getting back down closer to the 240s. We can do this! :D I'm hoping to hit Onederland by the end of the year..maybe it can be a goal together :)
