Short term goals:

Lose 7 pounds by mid August, 2015.

Lose and maintain below 180 pounds by end of August, 2015.

My Program:
Focusing on lots of vegetables, fruits, low fat proteins, whole and complex grains and little to no sugar. My exercise program includes treadmill workouts, exercise videos, beginning strength training (besides lifting 50 pound bags of feed and my 35 pound grandson) gardening, and horses (care and riding).

Personal Information:
I have lived in beautiful North Georgia since I was a teenager. My husband, Steve, and I live on 20 rural acres where I am blessed to be able to do the things I love - garden, have horses, walk and enjoy the country!
We have raised two daughters and one son, all who still live fairly close by. Now that I am retired, I can spend more time with my grandson.

We really ARE enjoying ourselves! It is so good to be here with some of our Good Sam's group that we camp with every month. They are becoming like family to us! This morning we went to a pancake breakfast put on by the firefighters in Florissant, CO. They served pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy! All for a donation and there were hundreds of people there when we arrived! The breakfast was set to go on from 7 to 11 AM today. Gotta love these small towns and all the support that the community gives to its service people! emoticon

Thanks, Susan, for leaving a comment on my blog about the Royal Gorge train! We are so happy to be here in the mountains and are enjoying the cool weather, for sure! Love that we can travel in our retirement! You really need to get up here again, and explore more in depth! I will hate to leave! emoticon

Hi Sweet Girl!! I have been a Sparse Sparker for months now- you have been in my heart as ever though!! Am getting back in the swing of things. Slowly. We like our new place but it sure took a lot out of us during the past year. Whew! Now getting used to the hot spell that's going on. The locals say this is unusual right now. Hope you are enjoying your Summer and your beautiful horses. Thanks for being such a good friend and I'm still here for you too!! -Sandi emoticon PS had to edit a few times because the box turns a very dark blue and I can't see what I'm writing- sorry

I had heard that Tom was very short, hard to find a woman in Hollywood not taller than him. Katie was taller. Wouldn't bother me, as I am only 5'3" tall! Funny how that man thought he was a teenager from the back. Love your page, it is beautiful! emoticon

When I lived in LA many years ago, I was an extra in two films - one was an Elvis bio and the other was "Revenge of the Savage Bees." It was interesting and fun to see a little of what goes on behind the scenes.
