On track....

Hello all, my name is Siobhan and I am determined to meet my goals. I am an emotional eater so when my parents got divorced I packed on some poundage and am having a lot of trouble taking it off. Initially I gained 60 pounds and have gotten 10 off but I cannot get anymore on my own. I knew about Spark people and have been on and off the bandwagon due to a busy schedule. I have a full time job and am a full time nursing student so things get a little crazy. I have recently learned this is ...
I have recently learned this is no excuse! Again, I have been on and off the bandwagon so I am going to use some helpful things I have seen....

A reward system - I am going to give myself little rewards for every 5 pounds lost. This may change when the pounds start melting off but right now, 5 pounds.

~~~~~185 - a new pair of cute summer shoes!
~~~~~180 - a manicure
~~~~~175 - a new bathing suit for vaca
~~~~~170 - a pedicure

A schedule - I am going to make a schedule that I will follow to make it to the gym. If I make it part of my schedule I have no excuses.

Plan ahead - I am going to plan out my meals before I go to the grocery store and check them on spark people. This way I know if I am in my correct limits and I know what to buy at the store so I dont have to look up and down every aisle.

Wish me luck on this go ahead, hopefully this will be the last.

PS - good luck to all of you too on accomplishing your goals!

My Goals:
GOALS:

Short term - to lose 20 pounds for vacation (June 9, 2009).

Long term - to lose 60 pounds. I have gained a lot of weight over the past few years and I am ready to wear jeans again. Since my weight gain jeans are not comfortable to me so I do not wear them, I want nothing more than to be able to wear jeans and a t-shirt - that was always my favorite!

My Program:
I am going to watch what I eat based on my nutrion information provided by Spark People.

I am going to do a full body work out 3 days a week.

I am going to do cardio for a minimum of 30 minutes 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I am a 22 year old nursing student from the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. I have an overwhelming schedule so I need structure if I am ever gonna reach my goals. I have a boyfriend of 2 years who keeps me grounded, he is my heart. I have a puppy, her name is Bella and she is a "Morkey" (half maltese, half yorkey). She is my everything (I call her my angel-baby). I love every part of my life, even if it is hectic!

Other Information:
I love to read and be outdoors. I am a full time nursing student and work full time. I am a very hard worker so I know that as soon as I get up the motivation I will be set.

Welcome to the EE team!!

Iíve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, itís a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!

Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!

~~best of luck to you on all of your goals!!!
