Hi. I'm now 31 and sadly coming to terms that my body is not as elastic and fit as it used to be. I used to induldge in Taco Bell or ice cream sundaes and not gain a single pound...this is no longer the case! I have gained about 5-10 pounds since college and need to pledge to be more active to lose the few extra pounds and feel comfortable in my clothes again. I know it doesnt sound like much to lose, but it is evident in the way I physically feel. For some reason, I have never stuck to decisions about going to the gym, therefore the scale never seems to budge! Many of my food choices are pretty healthy, but I know there is always room for improvement. I joined *sparkpeople* last year when training for the 5 person relay in the Detroit Marathon, and didn't keep up with logging on and keeping track of my progress. I just completed the Detroit Half-Marathon this past weekend and am confident that by continuing to run -along with weight training, cross training, and tweaking my eating habits- will help me on my weight loss journey. I hope by coming back to this site, *sparkpeople* will help me track and visually see my efforts and achievements for a healthier lifestyle.

My Goals:
I pledge to be better about drinking water and enjoying fresh fruits more than I have been. It's not necessarily losing POUNDS that I am concerned about, but a need to drastically tone up my lower abs, legs and upper arms.
My Program:
I run about 15-20 miles a week, and enjoy yoga 2-3 times a week. I have also been very good about packing a healthy lunch from home Monday-Friday.
