When I turned 33 in early 2010 I made the decision to get off the couch and move more and to get in the kitchen and cook more. It's been a rocky road. Now I'm 37 and feeling like I am starting over. But I'm ok with that.

My biggest weakness is lacking motivation. But, It's getting easier. I have to stay strong and persevere.

My Goals:
My long-term goal weight is 175.

Short-term goals and rewards:

240 lbs: day off of work (mental health day)

225 lbs: short vacation

200 lbs: new clothes!!!

190 lbs: longer vacation

175 lbs: more clothes!!! and then new goals


My Program:
I use the Sparks app on my phone to track what I eat and how much I exercise.

Currently I am doing the following:

Food: PALEO! Meat, veggies, fruit. No grains, dairy, legumes, sugar/sweeteners. I cheat sometimes and have non-cow dairy.

Exercise (Summer 2010): walk 3 days/week for 30-45 min; hike 3 days/week for 30-90 min

Exercise (as of Jan 2011): walk/hike/jog 4 days/week for 15-60 min; CrossFit 3 days/week for 1 hr

I am from the beautiful state of New Mexico, where being outdoors makes exercising more than just nice, but a true joy!

    Hey, been off for awhile.....my wod the other day was good! Since it was my hubby and another newbie we didn't do the full workout listed but we did practice power cleans;-) I was able to do 53# pretty well, then struggled a bit when we bumped it up to 63#. It felt so good doing it! Then today we did ohs, man those can be pretty difficult for me....it's hard for me to squat all the way down and drive up with good form, really need to practice that. Did practice ones at 38#, but just the bar for the wod.
