It is true that we are our own worst critics. For so long I would look at myself and never see any of the kind things that people would say to me, but only see the negative. I think it was easier to downplay in good with highlighting my imperfections. By doing that no one could criticize what I said but only agree with the obvious. What a cruel method of avoiding conflict with others at the cost of your own emotions. Well I am very proud to say no more. I have learned to love me for me, and for all the right reasons. I won’t say losing weight has not been empowering, because it has given me the confidence to be happy with myself and to allow myself to go out and be a more active part of society. I have to admit I felt very proud the other day, my oldest walked up to me and said "Mom I am so proud of you, I can hug you and put my arms all the way around"; my daughter is 10 and children are the most honest people you will every enjoy talking to. If I can say one thing to anyone reading this is, when you look in the mirror, love yourself. Love yourself greater than any love you have in your life because you are more than beautiful on the inside, you are on the outside to; no matter what size or at what point you are; we are all a blessing from God and he made no mistake in making you, we only make mistakes when we forget how blessed and beautiful we really are. Love yourself today and every day and smile (it’s contagious too)!!! It is hard to erase the words that have gotten me to where I am, so I will only add to the foundation that has built me up to a higher place. If I have learned anything thus far it is that persistence is your strongest ally in the battle against pessimism and doubt. Never give up on your goals and never say that the day will never come, because when it does you will rejoice in a way you may have not felt in a long time. I lit my spark in 2008 and planned to reach these fantastic goals within months, but after learning that a lifetime of poor choices does not change overnight and that bad habits are like bad hair days (you just can't ignore them), I realized that if I wanted to reach my goals I would have to stay persistent and determined. Never stop believing in yourself and never give up on your goals and aspirations. 78 pounds later I feel stronger and more confident that this journey I began in 2008 was worth every tear, ache and pain along the way. Laughter soothed the discomfort and great spark friends have made every step that much better. Keep going and don't look back, set your eyes forward and your heart will lead you along the spark!!! I place my life in God's hands but I place the responsibility to achieve a life sustaining goal in mines. My destination picture not only represents a dream of mine but, it also is a reminder to me that at any point in my life from any circumstance and for all those regardless of who you are, dreams are achievable and the true beauty is not in the eye of the beholder but within yourself. Believe in yourself. Update: I could not erase my inspiration for 2010 because regardless of how some may view it she did have an impact and still does on my heart and my view of self-worth and faith. For 2011 I have a new inspiration but this one is close to my heart. My inspiration for 2011 is my oldest daughter. She is my passion to strive for the healthiest me. At the end of 2010 she was informally diagnosed with Epilepsy. Each seizure has scared me and her sooo much but, after each hospital visit she bounces back and triumphs as if to say 'that too has passed', I love her courage and her intelligence. The other day I woke up to her explaining the relationship between molecular movement and temperature variations. After that she puts down her cousins chemistry book and tells me she cannot wait to get to high school and take classes. I smiled endlessly as I helped her to finish getting ready for her Third grade class. She just turned nine and I love her to pieces. She may not ever know it, but this year is for her and the rest of the family, but above all she is my inspiration. My inspiration for 2010 is now Susan Boyle. I love her dream, her spirit, spunk and her determination. Despite adversity she did it for herself and deserves all she has achieved. Go Girl!!!!

Personal Information:
I am an Army brat. So I have always told people I am from a little of everywhere, but I was born in California. When my father retired we moved to Spokane Washington and then to Saint Louis Missouri. I preferred living over seas and hope to settle some day in the south of France or Germany.
Other Information:
Things people are always shocked to hear for some reason : -I have played the violin since second grade and needless to say love classical music. - I am a huge musical buff, you play it I will name it but my favorites are 'The King & I", "Phantom of The Opera" and "Fiddler on The Roof". - I love the ocean beyond belief and hope to have a house on a river connecting to the ocean ( like in Savannah Georgia) and a boat to sail when ever I wish. -French is my second language.
