My Goals:
To lose 50 lbs, and be healthier because of regular exercise.

Summer 5%:
Minimum Exercise of some sort for 15 minutes each day.

Personal Information:
I am originally from the US, currently living in Canada on the west coast. I am Franciscan Poor Clare Sister. I had a left knee replacement 6 years ago and waiting for a replacement for the other knee. These metal parts DO NOT make me function (or look) like the old Bionic Woman! At this point the exercise I can do, and mobility I have is limited. I am limited to walking, riding a bike and swimming, so I do have options. I was an Air Traffic Controller in the US Navy until 1981 when I joined the Poor Clares. I am an avid reader, love to cook and bake, as well as enjoy different types of crafts.

Other Information:
Lost 35 lbs the first year I joined, but have put it back on. Must start again!

Mini-Challenge for you this week: "BE NICE"

When you feel good about yourself, you want to take care of your body. This positive mind-set will naturally motivate you to make good food choices and want to exercise more.

emoticon So start being nicer to yourself. Talk to yourself like you would talk to a friend. Then healthy eating and exercise will start to become ways to be nice to yourself instead of feeling like torture.
