Anyone who says that you can simply diet and then go back to your old way of either a liar or they have never truly struggled with a weight problem. I am proof of that. I started my journey here at sparkpeople back in november of 2007. I was 314 lbs. I dropped all the way down to 214 lbs. Then, well, I gave up. I began emotional eating again, and it didn't take long before I completely quit all the good lifestyle changes.

What happened then, you may ask? I gained everything back and then some. My weight ballooned up to 354 lbs. Now I have gone back to the beginning and then some. You see, old habits have to remain old habits. You must replace the old with new...and not return to the old. I have a long road ahead of me. But I did it it's time to do it again.

"Think about where you have fallen from and then turn back and do as you did at first…” (Revelation 2:4-5)

    How is the challenge going for you? I am enjoying it, but getting three veggies a day is hard for me. I need to make vegetable soup or something. I wish hummus counted as a veggie.
    Maybe today was just weird food day for Belles.The only thing that tasted really good today to me was lavash chips(Armenian bread) and hummus. I choked down a salad so I wouldn't break my veggie streak. I stayed in my range also, but I dread my nutritional feedback report. emoticon

    Congratulations on jumping back on the wagon...I fear EVERY DAY that the same thing will happen to me. I start to lose steam and I don't want to let that happen. I think it is extremely easy to return to old habits. I have been on a roller coaster since I was a kid. My lowest weight was 125lbs at 16 yrs old. I stayed around that weight for a few years and began putting it all back on and then some once I started college. Over these years I have managed to eat myself to my highest weight of 325lbs (I'm only 5'4")...I am down ALMOST 30 since July, but right now I am struggling a little.

    I admire your bravery to start again!
