Lost Over 100 pounds so far!!!

I LOVE SP!!! I'm losing this weight for good! Finally!! It's been a long journey, but I'm getting there. I'm now breaking into the world of "normal" sizes for the first time in my life! I still haven't ventured into a "skinny store" since I'm scared that even if I'm a 12/13 at Walmart that I'll go to the mall and will still be too big for the clothes, silly I know, but I want to be SURE that my first ever experience shopping in one of those stores is a good one!

Original Intro:
THE LONG HAUL!
Well, I regained all of the weight I had lost in high school and I'm sick of it. I'm engaged, and I don't want to be embarrassed about my weight at my wedding. Luckily, I've got a year to get in shape!

I really got started about a week or two before finding SP when I went to the mall with my roomates and I was horrified to discover I was a 24 (I was still squeezing my a$$ into old 20s, and really stretched out 18s) and I was so embarassed at how bored they were when I was picking stuff out in Lane Bryant, and it was torture for me shopping with them in regular stores. I'm 5'8.5" and I was over 285
(I was on SP for 2.5weeks before I ordered a scale, and I was 285 at he doctors several months before). One of my skinny roommates was sad she couldn't make out her 6-pack as well so she wanted to go on a diet and I was excited to do it with her. She found a really cool program online with a diet and weight tracker, but it was like 40$ a year, so I went looking for a free one and found SP!

UPDATE 2/09:
Now I'm an SP veteran. I am always very successful when I log on daily, but if I stop my habits slowly backslide. I lost 35lbs in the latter half of '07 (when I discovered SP). Overall, I only lost a little weight in '08 since my motivation just wasn't all that strong once I got back down into a size 18. I'd be on SP for a few weeks, lose 10lbs, then when I had one pig-out day I'd feel guilty and not track, then feel guilty for not tracking and avoid the whole situation by not going on SP for a while. This would be the point in any other diet when I'd start regaining weight big time and I'd regain all of the weight and the cycle would start over. But with Spark, instead I'd miss my friends and return again so that even though my lack of motivation stopped my progress, I was able to maintain my weight loss until my head was in the right place again. This site is a LIFESAVER!! It also enabled me to rekindle my flagging motivation and start losing weight again here in '09.

My Goals:
I want to get down to 150 before my wedding. However, I would be perfectly happy to get down to 185, and try to work on it from there.

UPDATE: Under 185 now!! Now just to get under 150 woot!

My Program:
At the moment I'm on Medifast, but I used the SP recommendations for the first 80lbs lost, and am using this to bust through my plateau. I have a love-hate relationship with it cause it is a "diet" and going off can make your weight swing on HARD; so I don't go "off" I just go back to SP's nutrition plan which works great!

I try to get cardio in every day, but usually its 4-5 days/week. And I strength train 3-4 times per week depending on how much rest I need (too sore=skipped workout).

Personal Information:
I am from San Diego, CA, but I am currently going to UC Santa Cruz and living in San Jose. I have 2 jobs, one as a Veterinary Assistant, and another as a Wildlife Technician rehabilitating wildlife at the SPCA.

It looks like you don't use this site much anymore so that's a bummer. I could use someone like you for support, advice and motivation! Hope to see you around soon!
