Singin' Fat Lady

I have been fat for most of my life, starting around age six when according to my mother my "metabolism changed and I just got really heavy" and she couldn't pick me up anymore. I was a little heavy all through school, but for most of my adult life have been gaining as much as 10 lbs. every year. I have tried diets and regular exercise, but somehow managed to not lose any weight. I am now in my 40s; I have 150 lbs to lose, so as a last resort I am trying the hCG protocol as outlined in Dr. ...

I’m just cruising around spreading some motivation!

“Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.” ~ William James

“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.” ~ Peter Marshall

“Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.” ~ Marie Curie

Have a healthy week!

I saw your post re your weight increases - only do an apple day if you stall longer then 4 days. You are not stalling!!! You are having fluctuations and admittedly, did not follow protocol at least once. That is not a stall nor a reason to do an apple day. Apple days are purely psychologic according to Simeons anyway. Follow the protocol, make sure you are up on your water, note any changes in activity and try to find the source if you continue to gain. But if you are gaining due to eating what is not on the protocol..... it is not a reason to do an apple day.
